Cancellations made with more than 48 hours notice may receive a refund or credit to a future class. Cancellations made within 48 hours are subject only to a credit. Cancellations should be made by phone at 267-592-7116 or by emailing us at brushandflow.com. We’re sorry, but we do not give refunds or issue credits for 'no shows'.

Guest must be 21 or older to consume alcohol. Please be prepared to show valid photo ID, we hope you consider it a compliment to your youthful appearance! Please drink responsibly. Individual responsibility in alcohol consumption is expected, however management reserves the right to limit any guests' consumption without issuing a refund.
Reservations & Payments
What if I am unable to reserve my event online using a credit card? Do you accept cash payments?*
For record keeping purposes we prefer that all payments are made online through our party scheduler. However, we do understand that some people may have special circumstances so we try to accommodate. We can assist you will reserving your party and making your payments in person at our studio. Please contact us via email for this request.
I need to make changes to my party reservation. Can this be done online or should I contact you directly?
Any changes that you need to make to your reservation can be done online. Please note that there are time restrictions for cancellations. However, we are always available and happy to answer your questions directly.
Can I pay for my entire party up front?
Yes, party planners are able to make a full payment for their events online during the reservation process. Please be sure to review our cancellation policy to learn about deposit refunds.
I paid for my party in full up front but now I need to cancel or reschedule. What should I do?
No problem. We understand that things come up and we are happy to help you reschedule your event. If you want to choose a different date, we can assist you with that and your entire payment will be applied to your new date. If you need to cancel, also no big deal. Depending on the timing of your cancellation notice you may be eligible for part or full refund. However, cancellations that fall outside of our cancellation notification timeframe will result in loss of part or all of your payment. Please review our cancellation policy in our "studio policies" section above. As always, we are available to discuss your specific concerns about rescheduling and cancellations.
How do I book my event?
You can book your event on the reservations page of our website. A non-refundable deposit of $150.00 is collected via credit card. The remaining balance is due by the day of your event.
How far in advance should I book my event?
The sooner the better to ensure that you get your preferred date & time. A final guest headcount is needed 7 days before the event.
Location & Parking
Where is ARTrageous Brush and Flow located?
We are conveniently located near the intersection of Washington Lane and Duval Street in the Mt. Airy section of Philadelphia.
Is free parking available?
There is ample on-street metered parking available right in front of the studio. Parking meters stop after 6 pm Monday - Friday there is free parking on weekends. Free parking can also be found in the surrounding residential areas very close to the studio.
Is public transportation accessible to ABF studio?
Yes. Septa bus route 23 is directly in front of our studio.
Is the studio wheelchair accessible and are your restrooms able to accommodate those with physical disabilities?
Absolutely! We have a ramp at the entrance of our studio to accommodate strollers, wheelchairs. Our spacious restroom also has a large entryway.
What should I bring?
This varies by event. For public classes listed as not-BYOB, just bring an open mind and a desire to have fun! Guests 21 and older may bring their favorite alcoholic or nonalcoholic beverage to enjoy. We supply wine glasses and corkscrews, and ice. For guests who would like to bring snacks, keep in mind your hands may be messy - finger foods seem to work best, but it's totally up to you.
What should I wear?
No dress code here; Dress how you feel. Canvas painting is less messy than you may think, and we do provide aprons. However you may decide to throw on something comfortable and leave your fancy favorite outfit at home. We use acrylic paints which aren't known to come out of clothing easily.
What about BYOB? - Cups/Glasses?
Yes, of course! Our 21 and older guest are welcome to bring wine beverages to enjoy during their event with us. Please be prepared to show valid photo ID and we hope you consider it a compliment to your youthful appearance! Please drink responsibly and consider your travel arrangements when leaving the event. Individual responsibility for alcohol consumption is expected, however management reserves the right to limit any guests consumption without issuing a refund.
Onsite Paint Parties
how many guests can ABF studio accommodate?
ARTrageous Brush and Flow can accommodate up to 30 guest in our studio. We have ample amount of tables and chairs to accomodate 30 guests comfortably.
Can we rearrange the seating for our private party?
Yes. Your private party can be arranged the way you want it to be but we do ask for a written request including details of your event at least 1 week prior to your event to assure that we have everything you need to create your unique party atmosphere.
Is food or beverages included in my party package?
Food and beverages are not included in your package but party planners are welcome to arrange outside catering to bring in or have delivered to the studio. We will have tables for you to set up your treats. We are also happy to refer great vendors, caterers and party decor specialist who have worked with other guests at our studio.
My guest list just increased at the last minute. What should I do?
Great! This usually isn't a problem for us as far as space goes, but please keep in mind that our studio capacitates at 30 number of people for safety regulations. To add a guest to your party list simply sign into our scheduler online, go into your account and make the required payments for additional guests. In addition, please notify us by email firstname.lastname@example.org, so that we know to increase the number of place settings for your event. We want to make sure that each guest is able to be seated comfortably and that there is enough space for your guest to move around and socialize.
what should I do if paid for a guest but they cancel or don't show up. Do I get a refund?
We understand that things come up and that people may have to cancel at the last minute. You may be eligible for a refund for your cancelled guest if you submit the cancellation notification within the required timeline. To minimize this occurrence, we encourage party planners to send RSVP's and check in with their guest at least 2 weeks prior to the event to confirm their attendance. If we are notified within the required cancellation timeframe we are happy to refund for cancellations. Refunds can not be given for no-show guests. Please keep in mind that there is a minimum of 12 paid attendees required to host your event and if your guest list drops below 12 your event may have to be rescheduled.
Can we set up a Sterno buffet for our food?
Yes. For each event where Sterno fuel is used, the event coordinator, or his or her representative, must be identified as the person who is responsible for implementing safety guidelines and any other applicable codes, standards, and policies for the safe use of open flame in buildings.
Do you have Bluetooth speakers or music hookup?
Absolutely! We love music! We have Bose speakers for you to link your music through your device or to connect to our apple music app.
What if my headcount changes after I’ve given my final headcount?
Once the final headcount is submitted 7 days in advance, you are financially responsible for that total. No adjustments are made to the pricing for guests that cancel last minute or are “no shows” due to the advanced preparation involved…(scheduling coverage for your event, pre-sketching canvas, ordering of supplies) *Any unused canvases are yours to keep. If you need to add a few more painters, please email or call ASAP, we will try our best to accommodate.
Mobile Paint Parties
Where can I host my event?
Just about anywhere! Reserve a location at the park, school, community center or even your home.
Our facility is outside of Philadelphia. Will that affect the rate of our event?
Our artists will travel to your event location within 30 miles of our studio at the standard mobile paint event rate. Traveling expense fees for events outside of Philadelphia will be included for events outside our 30 mile radius. Fees are calculated by mileage.
What's the difference between the onsite events and the mobile events?
There is absolutely no difference in regards to the services that we provide. Whether we party at your place or ours, your guest will experience the same paint party. We are happy to host your party wherever you and your guest will feel most comfortable.
What do we need to do to prepare for our event? How many tables, chairs etc.?
Tables and chairs to accommodate all guest comfortably. Furniture should be situated so that all guest are able to see the Art Instructor and follow along with the art instruction. We also need access to water for set up and clean up of art supplies.
Are tables provided for Mobile parties?
Yes, there is a rental fee of $10.00 per table. We also provide drop cloths to cover your tables. *Please allow at least 2 feet of space per painter for tabletop easels and canvas.
Is there set up fee?
There is never a setup fee!
Children's Paint events
Will there be time for the birthday cake?
Kids parties will have time for pizza/snacks/cake (After the painting)...We suggest this at the end of class while paintings are drying.
What do adults while the kids are partying?
Wait for it... As the party organizer, you can opt to allow your fellow parents to have snacks and relax while the kids paint under the watchful eye of our ARTsy instructors.

Where can we host our fundraiser with you?
We are happy to help host your fundraiser at our studio or at a location of your choice. Please be sure to review information about our facility and its capacity limit before selecting the space.
Is there a discount to the sponsoring organization?
The sponsoring organization is required to reserve 12 event tickets at regular price and make their initial deposit at the time of reservation. Contact us directly at email@example.com for additional details about pricing.
How often are special events held at ABF studio?
At the minimum, we host events each season throughout the year.
How will I know when events are scheduled?
We promote our events through our social media channels so be sure to connect with us on Instagram and Facebook. We also send notifications to our email list subscribers so be sure to leave your email address so that we can stay connected. Special studio event tickets are available on our website and may be purchased through Eventbrite.
Is there an age requirement?
Generally, any event where alcohol is present we recommend a minimum age of 18 to be present. For our special events marked BYOB on the calendar all guests must be 21 or older to consume. However, most of our events are alcohol-free and family-friendly. Feel free to contact us with specific questions.
How much are tickets are where can I purchase them?
Prices can vary depending on the events theme but the price range can be anywhere from $20 to $40 per painter. Tickets are sold through Eventbrite.
I signed up for a class. What time should I arrive?
We recommend that you arrive 15-20 minutes before the class start. That will give you time to check-in, find your seat, pour a drink and mingle with other party guests. Classes start on-time and last between 1.5 - 2 hours. Late arrivals are still welcome but may need to play catch up on their own.
Paint parties sound fun, but what if I'm not artsy or creative?
No worries, that's exactly why our events and parties are led by our art instructors. Your group will be guided step by step and your art instructor will recreate the painting live right along with your group. Most of our guests have little to no art experience and that's what makes it fun.
I'm artsy, but my friend/date...not so much. How can I assure them that they will have fun?
Our mission is to create a fun, upscale, entertaining experience. Our environment is judgment-free, stress-free and encouraging. We invite you to come as you are with art skills or without. No matter the age, we want our guests to experience something unique, fun and far from the ordinary paint party.
Do I have to paint what the Instructor paints? Or can I just do "my own thing?"
It's your painting, you can absolutely go rogue if you'd like! Most of our guests follow along with the instructor. Occasionally guests will change a background color or the style of a flower. But we have had guests do something totally and completely different. Following along is lots of fun but whatever you feel inspired to create is totally up to you! We want you to tap into your ARTsy side.
I attended an event at ABF that I think would make an awesome private party at my location. Can that happen?
Absolutely! Any theme used for our special events can be selected as a theme for your private event.
